I forgot to scan the QR code, how do I register the sensors now?
Whether you forgot to scan the QR code or you were in a rush to install sensors because of closing off a construction area, it might happen that the sensor setup is not completed. In that case, follow the steps below to complete the installation process.
Identifying incomplete sensor setup
You can easily spot sensors that haven't been fully configured. Look for a notification indicator next to the sensor in the table overview.

How to complete the installation
If you still have access to the physical sensor, scan the QR code and follow the setup steps displayed on the screen. However, if you cannot access the sensors anymore to scan the QR code, you can edit the information directly in the platform.
Add missing tags via sensor page
- Navigate to the specific sensor page in your dashboard.
- Press the edit icon.
- Add the necessary tags to complete the sensor information and press Save.
Sensor tags define the environmental context for each sensor. This information is used to calculate reference values and determines which alerts are automatically enabled.
Mark sensor as installed
- Go to the sensor's settings icon.
- Click Mark as installed.
This confirms the sensor is in use and that it should send alerts.
Sensor location
When installing sensors using your mobile device, the platform automatically detects and records your phone's location. This location is then added to the sensor profile without manual input. However, when you do not complete the setup steps, that information is not recorded. The sensor location determines which weather station should be used to display local weather conditions. If no location is recorded for a sensor, no weather data will be displayed for that sensor. Unfortunately it's not possible to edit the address on sensor level, so you will have to add that information on group level instead.
