What is an intelligent moisture alert and what types of alerts exist?

An Intelligent Moisture alert is a notification system provided by Tector, designed to keep you informed about any irregularities detected by your moisture sensors. These notifications can be delivered via email.

Tector's alert system offers flexibility and customization options to suit your unique needs. Within our application, we categorize alerts into two main types:

Built-in alerts:

  1. Built-in alerts are predefined alerts that are automatically activated for each sensor unless otherwise specified. These alerts include:
  • Missing Values alert: This alert triggers when a sensor fails to send expected measurements for 48 hours, 1 week, or 4 weeks, indicating a potential issue with data transmission.
  • Significant Moisture Increase alert: This alert activates when two consecutive moisture measurements show a rise of more than 5%, signaling a notable change in moisture levels.
  • High Moisture Content alert: This alert is triggered when the median of the past week's moisture readings exceeds a predefined reference value. Reference values are determined based on the expected moisture content for each sensor's placement.

Custom alerts:

  1. Custom alerts offer tailored solutions to address specific scenarios. Users can define a set of alert criteria, which must all be met before an alert is issued. Criteria are established by selecting parameters, operators, and values, allowing for precise customization.

All alerts, whether built-in or custom, can be easily activated or deactivated for individual sensors at any time, providing you with control and flexibility over your monitoring system.
