Turn on/off the sensor

Only for Woody Ver 2 and Flatty

The new generation Tector sensors have a switch on/off feature to preserve battery life and allow for longer storing periods, hence aligning better with the unique project timelines that can vary substantially from client to client. The following is a simple guide on how to switch them on and off.

Woody V2

1. Take off the triangular screw cover (usually shipped with cover off).

2. Switch on from the button below the screw holes.

3. First the light will turn white, then red, then green, and finally it should turn blue. When the light is blue it means that the sensor has successfully connected to a gateway.

Flatty

1. Take off the button cover and switch on the sensor.

2. The same principle applies: First the light will turn white, then red, then green, and finally it should turn blue. When the light is blue it means that the sensor has successfully connected to a gateway.

What if the light doesn't turn blue?

If the light doesn't turn blue, but turns red instead, then we advise to wait a couple of minutes while the sensor attempts re-connecting again. Check if the sensor has connected, by going on the platform and checking its activity status. If it is still inactive after some time we recommend switching it off and on again until it manages to connect.

Switch off the sensor

When switching off the sensor, you just flick the switch off and be aware that there will be no light signal - the sensor will simply switch off.
