# Create subgroups

## For larger projects, we strongly recommend creating subgroups for the various areas of the building being monitored. This approach provides a clearer overview of moisture readings, simplifies sensor data comparison, and ensures that no critical alerts are missed—making moisture monitoring significantly more efficient and manageable.

To create a subgroup use one of the following methods.

#### **First option:**

1\. Go to the **Group Hierarchy** in the group overview.

2\. Press the **+** icon to create a subgroup.

3\. Click on the newly created subgroup.

4\. Press the Settings icon and press the Add/remove devices.

5\. Fill out the IDs of the sensors you want to add and press **Update**

 

#### **Second option:**

1\. Navigate to your main project group.

2\. Go to the  **Sensors** tab.

3\. Check the checkboxes of the desired sensors in the list view.

4\. Press the **+Create subgroup** button.

5\. You will automatically be transferred to the newly created subgroup. 

6\. From there click on the subgroup title and change it to the desired name.
